Description

From my 556 MB 2x drizzled Andromeda data, I identified the location of M31-V1, the famous Cepheid variable star Edwin Hubble used in 1923 to calculate the distance to the Andromeda galaxy, proving it lies far outside the reaches of the Milky Way.  It's barely visible in my image, but it's in there.  This image was taken near its minimum brightness.    @darkdesertdome has an image of the same area taken 34.6 periods earlier, from October 2020, when near its maximum.  In the next few days we'll post the comparison.
